![]() You used to gamble in D2 for specific rares, zero chance of legendary. Hell even gambling makes it more obvious they’re just rares. They’re not special (you can get a dozen in a day), they’re mostly useless, occasionally you’ll get one with marginally better rolls than what you currently have, but chances are you’re going to take it to the blacksmith. If anything it becomes a bit of a sense of dread because you know chances are it’s useless but you’re going to check anyway. In DI you don’t get nearly the same “fuck yeah!” feeling when a legendary drops because it happens everyday. On top of that having gear you can’t use yet gives you a concrete goal to push for. The drop rates were orders of magnitude lower, but that just made each drop feel that much more special. Thinking back to other D games, specifically D2 because that was the most addicting grind by far, you often had gear you saved because you couldn’t use it yet. Either have kept it slower the whole time, or continue the frequency of upgrades. It’s not frequency of drops, it’s that you get this burst of usable gear when you get to a new H level and then it tapers off. ![]() ![]() Yeah I feel like that’s part of the core problem. ![]()
